All the path pieces display the path texture on their top sides. The mini stair and mini ramp display the cliff textures on their sides. When viewed from beneath the cliff texture can be seen on the bottoms of the path pieces.

Included in this set is a good array of supports for the various path parts:

Straight Paths

These supports come in 1m, 2m, and 3m heights along with a support post topper and support footer.

Path Corners

Just like the straight path supports the path corner supports also come in 1m, 2m, and 3m heights along with a support post topper and support footer.

Curve Up Left and Curve Up Right

The curve up left and curve up right supports come in a 1m support standard piece. There is also piece for the top of the support post that is angled to match the bottom of the curve up paths. Also to be found are a support topper with matching angle, and a support footer. The 2h and 3h support posts for the flat corners line up with and add the required height to the curve up left and curve up right support posts.

Edge Supports with an Edge Support Top

These innovative pieces place on the edge of all the path pieces. They’re handy for stacked pool paths where the standard support piece will obstruct the paths immediately below. The edge supports blend well with the standard supports. The edge support top may also be used as a support strut between the edge supports.

Supports for Slopes

Along with a sloped support topper there is a top piece that is lined up for use on the support post below the sloped path. For support uprights use the 1m, 2m, and 3m pieces for Straight Paths.

Supports for Stairs

There is a top piece that is lined up for use on the support post below the path stair along with a stair support topper. For support uprights use the 1m, 2m, and 3m pieces for Straight Paths.

TNS’ pool path supports are well thought out, are infinitely better than the in-game pool path supports, and go a long way towards improving the versatility and appearance of our pool and pool paths.

TNS Pool Paths is just the set to have if you wish to have standard railings around your pool but don’t like the chrome finish that comes with the in-game pool railings. As you see TNS Pool Terrain pool railings each come with little footers at the base which is a realistic touch that makes them appear that your pool construction crew have actually anchored the pool railings to the pool decking.

The following image shows where in this demonstration pool the pool paths are suspended above the pool decking on this one corner here. In this arrangement a centred support would have blocked the output from H2O Slide Bowl. It turns out that the edge supports from TNS Pool Paths set place nicely on the pool decking without intersecting with the pool complex add-ons so instead of using TNS standard centred supports in this spot I’ve used TNS edge supports as cantilevered path supports for these few sections of the pool path.

With TNS edge pool path supports used in this way the output from H2O Slide Bowl remains unobstructed and the pool decking has a neater appearance than it would with centred pool path supports placed there.

Although all of TNS’ support footers are designed to place on flat terrain, just the right amount of these footers show on the pool decking so that any supports on the decking display a finished appearance.

Regrettably there are no TNS covers for either the pool complex spiral stairway, or for the Lazy River track but these can easily be matched up and coordinated with TexMod ReTextures.

The walls that come with TNS Pool Terrain make excellent path borders. They place as just the right height above the ground and are a pleasing width.

When used outside our pool complex TNS wall pieces played nicely with other scenery.

TNS Pool CS And TexMod

In the demonstration pool used in this article the TexMod brick retexture used for the pool path supports and for the pool decking (that I haven't covered with TNS Pool Terrain) goes some way towards giving this pool a gothic appearance. If I were use TexMod to change these same textures into, say, wood or bamboo textures then I’d have a pool that would go well in an Adventure themed park.

So in this way the use of TexMod retextures will vastly increase the versatility of TNS’ sets.
