Parchment Background Image for My Projects: Importing Items Into RCT3: CSO's I Have Imported: L-33's Port Of Entry Extension Set on FlightToAtlantis.net

A few months ago I started work on this set while I was getting my Viper One station building ready so I could take screenshots for another article on this website.

It had been awhile since I’d visited this park and having determined I needed screenshots of this structure I emptied the Themed folder, cleaned up the park file, installed the required scenery and was reminded of days gone past when so many CS sets were required to get reasonably good results in my parks – the reminder being that this park required that I install 120 CS sets.

Having made CSO’s for these past few years it was really noticeable the pieces I could have made if when I built this park I had known how to import scenery. I thought back to my extensive searches through the CS menus trying to find just that right piece, with the results of the search often resulting in a compromise.

I made some minor adjustments to the area surrounding Viper One and while doing so noticed the large paved area could do with a few low gardens to one side. There was also a garden up by the stairs for which I had a lot of trouble finding suitable walls when I built the park. At the time the best walls I could come up with were L-33’s arch end pieces. While I really like L-33’s pieces they weren’t suitable for around that particular garden.

I decided to make some walls for the garden to replace those arch ends, in addition to making some other pieces::

Here's a list of the few pieces I’ve made so far:

straight 1/2m garden/retaining wall with soil

left curve 1/2m garden/retaining wall with soil

right curve 1/2m garden/retaining wall with soil

half-tile garden soil only

full tile garden soil only

1m brick wall

peaked brick topper for 1m brick wall

The wall I made for the garden near the station stairs was just the wall I wanted.

I had made a peaked white brick topper for this wall but the topper turned out to be unnecessary.

Here are a couple of the gardens alongside the paved area:

Reviewing my older parks like this make me glad I’ve learned to make CSO’s and reminds me that there was a time I didn’t know how. It's a relief to know I no longer need to scroll through hundreds of CS sets wondering if I’d find what I need.
