This Air Powered Coaster track started out as a downloaded design. It originally came with three towers and I always felt that as downloaded the overall design lacked something.

Recently I thought to try my hand at improving this track's design which now bears no resemblance to the original. At one time while creating this track there were as many as nine towers but I eventually came to the conclusion that the flow of the track worked better with only eight.

Air Powered Coaster track designs always give an intense ride which is probably due to this track type's flat track sections leading into 45° banked turns with a track piece that's only 4m in length. In view of this the game engine will calculate banked turns to flat sections as a drop for this track type.

For this particular track there are eight towers that we can see but the game engine calculates the track as having 24 drops, which includes the twelve banked turns. Because the minimum speed required to get the coaster cars over the lowest possible tower is around 60kph (100mph) all car exits from banked turns into flat track sections will count as drops for this track type.
