Parchment Background Image for My Projects: Importing Items Into RCT3: CSO's I Have Imported: Pool Complex Accessories on FlightToAtlantis.net

It gives me great pleasure to introduce the start of my pool add-ons set. This set was inspired by Moki Happy Pool.

While Moki was able to make one or two working pool showers I noticed his were continuously running water and I believed that if Moki couldn’t figure out how to get the flow of water to interact with the guests I probably couldn’t either which meant I’d have to work with the in-game shower, which would be fine except for that thick base that comes with it. My shower surround idea began with considering what I could make that could cover the base of the in-game shower while still taking advantage of how beautifully it interacts with park guests. I came up with this.

It’s static scenery and without an effect point it was not possible to place it in the pool items menu so it’s found in the walls menu. I think this shower surround vastly improves the appearance of the in-game shower to the extent I no longer have any problem with how it looks.

My surround comes with treated wood panelling that’s capped with stone while the front of each shower unit is decorated in iridescent glass tiles and has specular gold hot & cold fixtures. The shower heads and their associated plumbing are mounted inside green marble cladding. A drain is built into the tile base and there’s a matching green marble border which gives the surround a finished appearance and stops the water from the shower from running onto the pool decking. It was my intent to put some sort of canopy/roof above the showers but having seen these shower surrounds in action in the pool I don’t think they need anything above so the only thing remaining with this surround is to shorten the top a bit.

I’ve created three types of pool lounges, all in pairs: there are floating lounges, deck lounges with umbrellas, and deck lounges without umbrellas. Each pair of lounges comes in a left and in a right configuration, as shown below with the deck loungers.

The left and right configurations are particularly noticeable with the lounge umbrellas which come with a left and with a right support.

The lounges are covered in a dramatic tropical print fabric, come with stone composite bases, and have matching umbrellas in a sheer version of the lounger fabric. In between each of the lounge pairs is a table for the guests’ convenience. The base of each umbrella is bolted into the rear of the table base which is weighted for umbrella stability. Even without the umbrellas attached the tables and lounges are so heavy our maintenance team have been provided special equipment for placing and for moving them about on the pool decking.

The table bases (not including the weights which for the convenience of our staff are removable) are made of the same stone composite as on the lounges while their tops are made of a polished, green stained wood. The bases of the floating lounges are a Styrofoam-type material coated in fibreglass which is finished to match the stone composite of the lounge bases. As you see in the screenshot below which was taken in the set's demo park, park guests do use the lounges.

But let's get back to the presentation park for this topic ...

In my Pool Complex Accessories set there is also a custom diving board while I’ve always wanted to replace that in-game pool ladder.

Some of our pool spas have canopies for those guests who would prefer a bit of gentle shade whilst being pampered.

Our lifeguards have been provided with a canopy for shade as a benefit to their health & well-being and to cut down on the glare they may experience while ensuring guest safety.

Each lifeguard’s area is marked out by decorative paving made of field stone.

Additions planned for this set:

A single floating lounge.

Floating lounges (singles and pairs) that are different distances from the pool edging.

Beach balls and other water toys that float in the pool or rest on the pool decking.

Centerpieces for the lounge tables.

A wet bar with vendors.

A poolside bar with vendors.

Drinks for the lounge tables.

A lifeguard station next to the lifeguard chair so our lifeguards may have somewhere nearby from where to refresh themselves and in which to keep their belongings.

I think I might like to try my hand at making a few towels that can be draped over the lounges, or perhaps at the far end of the pool an assortment of towels stacked on shelving with a vendor nearby.
