The in-game pool railings look like rubbish against the elegant in-game Ironwork And Stone Walls we've used so when attempting to add a rooftop pool to the hotel building in this scenario you'd want to be sure Spice's Invisible Pool CS is installed on your system.
On the other side of the rooftop pool against the office walls, where there are no railings at the edge of the pool decking one would want to put fencing of some sort to define the edges of the pool deck and separate it from the office walls.
The lazy approach to this would be to close up all those open spaces by simply extending the pool decking through all the office walls but if you do that your guests will walk through the office walls in order to get around the pool. At the other end of the scale one could make matching pool decking CSO's which would give the appearance the pool deck is extended all the way to the office walls. While this fix is quick and neat it's not likely that in real life the maintenance crew or the building's management would approve of swimming pool water washing up against office windows.
A more finished appearance can be achieved by framing the pool with walls or railings and our screenshots show that we chose DasMatze's Fences And Railings as a solution to this challenge.
To further enhance our own rooftop pool we've created a couple of lifeguard canopies and have managed to find a little room to place some potted plants about. We haven't added showers to this pool under the assumption that guests who change inside the hotel will also shower inside the hotel before walking outside to use the pool. Near the entrance we didn't extend the pool decking all the way over to the office walls ...
... opting instead to fill in those spaces with planting medium.
And now with the vegetation in place this rooftop pool has become a lush, inviting retreat.
